Every year, one senior female athlete at each Minneapolis-area high school is honored as an Athena Award winner for her outstanding athletic achievements. Recipients of the Athena Award are selected based on excellence in individual sports or for participation and accomplishments in team sports, as well as their school and community achievements.

"I am so blessed to be the 2023 Athena Award winner for our district!” says Grace. “Thank you to my coaches, parents, and teammates that have helped me throughout my career as a student-athlete." 

Grace has an impressive list of accomplishments throughout her years of participating in Panther athletics.

  • All-State in the 300m hurdles (2^nd place) and 4x1 relay (7^th place) – 2021

The Week of Giving, April 1-8, was full of panther pride. There were themed spirit wear days, dine to donate opportunities in partnership with local restaurants, and a silent auction with more than 300 packages open for bidding. The silent auction alone raised nearly $35,000.

The culminating event of the week was the Panther Party on Saturday, April 1. More than 200 guests attended the party at Bunker Hills Event Center in Coon Rapids. Guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers, a brief program with games (including heads or tails – or, in our case – paws up, paws down) and dancing to the music of Good for Gary, a Twin Cities favorite.
